Sales are showing an uptick

Yikes it’s cold here in Maryland. While the bay might be frozen sales and incoming interest are anything but. We have about 9 deals on the board since Mid-December and the level of incoming leads and tire kicking has actually increased thru the holiday and early January. Despite the fact we are frozen into a few marina’s and can’t free 3 boats for sea trial we are encouraged by this promising sign for the markets.

In addition sold boat statistics we can pull show that settled sales in December of 2009 for MD diesel and gas powerboats were almost twice that of 2008. Values those boats sold for are down 20-25% but it shows that buyers are coming into the market as they realize these deals will not last forever. New boat sales continue to struggle but the sold brokerage statistics prove the pulse of the boating world is still beating and becoming a bit more easy to recognize.

Baltimore Boat Show Jan 21-24 and we will see you there!
